There is a lot to be said for curiosity. I love the feeling of anticipation, excitement and anxiety I get from it. I'm glad you stopped to look and hope you feel some of that too. Please enjoy what you see, make comments and thanks for stopping in.

Halloween Time...

This is my favorite time of the year. We've been so lucky with weather, I can't even say. The sky was the most beautiful color blue behind all the different colored leaves that remain on the trees. The low sun casts the finest shadows on the rooftops. The colors inspired me to pick up the alcohol inks and make some fabulous backgrounds for Halloween cards. I love working with this stuff, because you can do so much with creating skies and leaves. I decided there was no reason not to carry the same idea into any type of greeting card. After having a few stray backgrounds I did in different colors, I stamped them, using jet black StazOn. These turned out pretty cool to.

Seasons

I always tell people that I don't know why I live in this state. I despise the cold of Winter and the hot humidity of Summer. The two reasons, I guess, I love living here, are the Autumns and the Springs. Wayne and I have been gone for the past two weeks with our camper. We drove to Cambridge Maryland, where my sister lives and then drove north to Copake, New York. No reason to go to NY. We just wanted to go north, where it was cooler, than south where it was still too warm. Of course we loved New York state. We hadn't been there before and both of us absolutely loved it!. This is the time of year to watch the hillsides change into beautiful contrasting colors. There really is no way to duplicate this in anything outside of a photo, and even that won't reveal the textures and dimensions that your eyes catch in real life. It was a beautiful drive and a vacation much needed. This was our first trip out in our camper that we bought a couple of months ago. Camping has never been my thing, but now, it seems so relaxing. I think it may have something to do with my age. The new camper is very comfortable and even better, once we figured everything out. We finally had hot water two days before we got back home. Thank goodness for KOA campground showers! We would still like to do one or two more trips up north before the colors are gone. They just don't last long enough.

About Me

My photo
Born and raised in Minnesota. I grew up in a small southwestern town with one sister and one brother,me being the youngest. My husband, Wayne, and I were married in a small castle outside of Inverness, Scotland in 1998. We have cats, five birds, a tarantula, and two dogs that are spoiled beyond belief. Besides this expensive hobby of papercrafting, I am an avid gardener. I love learning about perennials, flowering shrubs, and trees. In my past time, I've been cross stitching for the past several years. If I could have it my way, it would be Halloween all the time. It's absolutely my favorite holiday!
